Prayer
At Daily Beacon Ministry, we want to pray for you and want your prayers to be heard. If you'd like for us to pray for you, please submit a prayer request via email to faith@dailybeacon.org.
To help us narrow in on an appropriate prayer, please include in your email enough background on the prayer topic. We look forward to helping you through prayer.

The Lord is close to all who call on him,
yes, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
Importance of Prayer
Praying to God is important for several reasons:
It brings us closer to God: Prayer is a way to communicate with God, to share our thoughts, feelings and needs with Him. The more we pray, the more we grow in our relationship with God and come to know Him better.
It helps us acknowledge God's sovereignty: Prayer reminds us that God is in control of the universe and our lives. It helps us to surrender our lives to Him and trust that He will lead us down the path He has planned for us.
It helps us find strength in God: Prayer helps us to acknowledge that God is the source of our strength and that He can help us overcome the challenges we face in life.
It helps us find peace and comfort: Prayer can bring us peace and comfort in times of distress. When we pray, we can find solace in the knowledge that God is with us and hears our prayers.
It helps us seek God's guidance: Prayer is a way for us to ask God for guidance and wisdom. When we pray for guidance, we are asking God to show us the path that we should take.
It helps us express gratitude: Prayer is a way for us to give thanks to God for all that He has done in our lives. When we pray, we can express our gratitude to God for His love, grace, and blessings.
It helps us find forgiveness: When we are guilt-ridden because of sin, prayer is the most powerful tool we can use to seek the Lord’s forgiveness as we come to Him in repentance.
It helps us grow spiritually: Prayer is a spiritual discipline that helps us grow in our faith and become more like Jesus.
It helps us overcome temptation: Praying to God can help us to resist temptation and avoid sin. When we pray before leaving home for work, dates, school, events, etc., we strengthen our spirits to avoid temptations and the fiery darts of the enemy.
It is an act of obedience: Prayer is important because it’s obedience to God. Ephesians 6:18 tells us to pray on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for the Lord’s people.
